About Us

The Site

Welcome to the former Fletcher Jones and Staff Factory and Garden in Warrnambool! From 1948, the site served as a production centre for the iconic Fletcher Jones Australian clothing brand. There is much to get to know about this place, from its unusual design and striking landmarks such as the Silver Ball to Fletcher Jones’ progressive approaches to entrepreneurship.

Fletcher Jones passed away in February 1977. However the factory continued to produce garments till 2005. In 2016, the site was listed on Victoria’s Heritage Register, bringing awareness to its historical, social and aesthetic significance.
